The situation in the South Caucasus could change under the influence of the Iran-US conflict, and Azerbaijan may also adjust its position.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Russian State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Deputy Chairman Alexey Chepa made the remarks.
He also said that Baku would not become an arms supplier to Kyiv.
"I think Azerbaijan will not become a supplier of weapons to Ukraine. It seems to me that the situation in the Caucasus will change somewhat in the near future. This is primarily related to developments in the Iran-US conflict. And I think Azerbaijan will change its position as well, including regarding the Ukrainian issue," Chepa said.
