President Ilham Aliyev has met with former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

Axar.az reports that this was announced on President Ilham Aliyev’s X account.

“I met with former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who is visiting Baku.

During our more than 20-year acquaintance, we shared fond memories, recalled the joint work we carried out to strengthen Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations, and exchanged views on the future prospects of our ties.

During the meeting, Ukraine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan presented me with a certificate naming me an ‘Honorary Citizen of the City of Irpin,’” the post said.
