Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev highlights Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s special role in attracting investment to Karabakh

Axar.az reports that Ilham Aliyev said this in a joint statement to the press with Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“I would once again like to highlight President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s special role in attracting investment to Karabakh. The first assistance came from Uzbekistan: the construction of a school for 960 students and investment in a garment manufacturing facility, the first major industrial enterprise — all of this is once again associated with Uzbekistan. We also have further plans for cooperation in the Karabakh region and many other areas,” the head of state said.

According to the Azerbaijani leader, it is noteworthy that among the projects being inaugurated or launched today are initiatives implemented not only in Baku and Tashkent, but also in other regions.

“The interregional cooperation forum held yesterday is also of great practical interest. Thus, we are combining our efforts and creating what is now referred to as synergy. We have a concrete action plan for moving forward, and each project has been given specific substance,” Ilham Aliyev emphasized.
