Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan share a special bond rooted in common history, culture, traditions, and friendship between their peoples.
Axar.az reports that Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, stated on her X account.
"Over the past few days, Uzbekistan has had the pleasure of welcoming President Ilham Aliyev, his family, and our dear friends from Azerbaijan," she wrote.
She said ties between the two countries were growing stronger through new joint projects in infrastructure, investment and other areas.
"Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan share a special bond rooted in common history, culture, traditions, and genuine friendship between our peoples. Today, this bond is growing even stronger through new joint projects in infrastructure, investment, and many other areas," she added.
Mirziyoyeva also highlighted the signing of the Treaty on Eternal Friendship, calling it an important new chapter in bilateral relations.
"The signing of the Treaty on Eternal Friendship marks an important new chapter in our relations — and its name perfectly reflects the spirit of the ties between our countries," she continued.
“Our Azerbaijani friends will always be warmly welcomed in Uzbekistan,” she added.
