President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev has sent letter of congratulation to EU President Donald Tusk.

"Dear Mr.President,

I congratulate you regarding your re - election as a President of European Union.

I remember our meeting and discussion when you invited me last month to Brussels and we talked about negotiations on bilateral agreement project between Azerbaijan and EU.

I am grateful for your efforts for development of Azerbaijan - EU relations, your support to sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Development of relations with EU is important for Azerbaijan. It is really good that our cooperation on politics, economics and culture develop successfully. Azerbaijan has proved its reliability as a partner in energy security of Europe.

I believe we will continue our efficient cooperation which was built on strong fundamentals, trust and support.

Dear Mr.President, I congratulate you again, wish you strong health, happiness, and success in your upcoming responsible and honorable duty".
