Armenia wants to develop strategic partnership with Russia

The development of strategic partnership with Russia is a priority for the new Armenian government, the Armenian cabinet of ministers said in its program that was published on February 6.

Axar.az reports citing TASS.

"The country’s government intends to develop strategic partner relations with Russia, which are priority for the country. Relations between the two states are based on friendship and equality. The government believes that military cooperation with Russia is a part of the country’s security," the document says.

The new program of the Armenian cabinet of ministers will be sent to the parliament for ratification in the coming days.

Nikol Pashinyan’s bloc My Step won the early parliamentary election on December 9, 2018. This political force formed the country’s new government.
