UN official to visit in Baku

President of the UN General Assembly Tijani Mohammed-Bande will pay an official visit to Baku on October 22.

Axar.az reports that the visit will take place within the framework of the Baku Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

During his visit, Tijani Mohammed-Bande will meet with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other senior government officials.

Tijani Mohammed-Banden said the NAM summit emphasizes the importance of multilateral and international cooperation in addressing critical issues such as climate change, poverty, peace and security around the world.

Tijani Mohammed-Bande will be at ADA University on October 24 to celebrate UN Day.
