The US has established a biological laboratory in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Axar.az reports that Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said this in his article "Security of Russia in the modern world". He said the Pentagon could produce biological weapons in the laboratory.

"The Pentagon's concern is the establishment of biological laboratories around the world, especially in the CIS countries. These laboratories are conducting research on infectious diseases and the production of biological weapons," said Patrushev.

The Russian official stressed the need for closer coordination with partner countries, including the signing of bilateral agreements for the sake of biological security.
