Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov had a telephone conversation with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

Exchanging views on the current global health crisis, the ministers stressed the importance of solidarity and mutual support in the fight against the new coronavirus.

The sides exchanged information on the bilateral cooperation agenda and noted with satisfaction the current state of political relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia.

The ministers reiterated the firm position of both countries to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states. The principled position of both countries was stressed in this regard, as reflected in bilateral documents.

The sides also discussed bilateral economic and trade relations, and noted the possibility of expanding these relations in the future. The ministers agreed to maintain contacts and exchanged invitations to visit the countries after the end of the pandemic.
