The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar supported the anti-terrorist measures carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh with the aim of restoring the constitutional structure of the Republic of Azerbaijan and targeting only military elements.
Axar.az reports that the Presidential Administration of Northern Cyprus released information about this.
A. Tatar called on Yerevan to comply with the provisions of the Trilateral Declaration signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on November 10, 2020:
"Contrary to the provisions of the Tripartite statement signed on November 10, 2020, the continued presence of Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
Ensuring the provisions of the Tripartite Declaration of Azerbaijan, a friendly and brotherly country, preventing large-scale provocations in the Karabakh economic region, disarming and withdrawing Armenian armed forces from the country, neutralizing the military infrastructure of Armenians, ensuring the safety of the civilian population returning to the territories freed from occupation of Azerbaijan, the Constitution of Azerbaijan in Karabakh we support the anti-terrorist measures initiated with the aim of restoring its structure. As Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the UN General Assembly, Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan!"
A. Tatar emphasized that the Turkish people of Northern Cyprus are always with the people of Azerbaijan.
"In the example of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, I support the rightful struggle of all our brothers in Azerbaijan, and I call on Armenia to comply with the provisions of the Trilateral Declaration of November 10, 2020, in order to establish peace, security, prosperity and permanent stability in the region."
