The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov visited the destroyed places of the city of Fuzuli and got acquainted with the General plan of the city.

Axar.az reports that the special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Agdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts, Emin Huseynov, informed the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, about the destruction and acts of vandalism caused by occupying Armenia in the territory of Fuzuli district during 30 years. It was noted that the ruins of destroyed buildings will be preserved as they are in the Fuzuli Memorial Complex to be built. Museums of Occupation and Victory will be created in the complex.

In the end, the heads of state were informed about the works carried out and to be done following Fuzuli's Master Plan.

It was reported that by 2040, the administrative territory of Fuzuli city will be increased to 1,943 hectares and its population to 50,000 people. Fuzuli, which will be built according to modern standards and architectural features, will be one of the largest cities in the liberated territories.

Using digital solutions that will contribute to the sustainable development of the city of Fuzuli and the well-being of residents and entrepreneurs, the concept of a "smart city" developed to ensure the efficiency of traditional networks and services has been put forward. To provide comfortable and modern living conditions in the city, medium and low-rise residential buildings, individual houses with courtyard plots will be built, and educational, health, culture, manufacturing enterprises, recreation and other purpose zones will be created. Three residential complexes are being built here that will meet all the modern requirements of urban planning. There will be a total of 2,462 apartments in the complexes. According to the master plan, Central Park will be created on an area of approximately 22.5 hectares. The park has recreation areas, a botanical garden, a dense forest zone, picnic and sports grounds, a "Poetry" square, an amphitheatre, cafe-restaurants, etc. A 180-bed Fuzuli District Central Hospital will be built here, which will be equipped with the most modern medical equipment for high-level examination and treatment.

It was emphasized that the opening of the 960-student school named after Mirza Ulugbey, a gift of Uzbekistan, in the city of Fuzuli in August last year, and the Children's Creativity Center named after Kurmangazy in March of this year, as well as the foundation of the high school to be built by Kyrgyzstan in Aghdam district on the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, are the friendship of our countries and peoples. , are shining examples of the steadfastness of brotherhood.

It was also reported that the Aghdam-Fuzuli highway, whose foundation was laid in October 2021 and whose construction is continuing rapidly, is considered one of the projects that will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the regions and villages freed from occupation in the territory of the Karabakh economic region. The length of this road, which is a continuation of the Barda-Aghdam highway, is 64.8 kilometres.
