O'Brien's peace announcement: It is not only Baku's issue

Achieving peace is not only an issue for Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that James O'Brien, assistant to the US secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, said this.

He noted that this is also an issue for the region and Central Asia as a whole:

"All these countries export to the world market either through Russia or China. They need to work with Azerbaijan for an alternative. One route runs through Georgia and the Black Sea, and the other, potentially larger route, runs through Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkiye. In this sense, we need a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan to end the war and end this terrible conflict that has existed since 1990. This is our message: it's time for peace!"
