Recently, Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, may have to provide encryption keys to French intelligence services under certain conditions, even though he does not want to.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"In 2015 or 2016, I invited Durov for a meeting and told him: Look, you probably understand what you're doing, this might not be secure for the state. Terrorists could use it. Therefore, sooner or later, you will have to give these encryption keys. He replied that he would never give them to anyone. I think he really believes that," Medvedev said.
