Azerbaijan, Armenia to resume peace talks in December

Azerbaijan and Armenia will resume discussions on the text of the peace agreement next month.

Axar.az reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, stated this.

He mentioned that the main focus on Azerbaijan's agenda until the end of November is COP29: "It is likely that a new process will start in December, involving the discussion and continuation of negotiations on the peace agreement text between Armenia and Azerbaijan."

According to Hajiyev, there are certain questions regarding the text of the document:

"Since the Armenian side did not respond to our proposals on the peace agreement text in a timely manner, discussions and negotiations at the expert level are ongoing. Therefore, there is a noticeable delay in the process within this context. Most likely, a new phase will begin from December onwards."
