Russia, U.S. begin talks on Ukraine conflict in Riyadh

Russia and the U.S. delegations began talks on resolving the Ukraine conflict in Riyadh today at 10:00 Moscow time (11:00 Baku time).

Axar.az informs that this was reported by TASS, citing a source.

The Russian delegation is led by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, Advisor to the Director of the Federal Security Service.

The second part of the Russia-U.S. talks in Riyadh has begun.

According to TASS, citing a source, the negotiations have been ongoing for more than 6 hours.

It was reported that the delegates took two breaks during the talks. The first break was announced around 13:00 Moscow time, and after about half an hour, the delegations resumed their meeting.

The second short break took place around 16:00.

The negotiations between the Russian and U.S. officials have now lasted for more than 9 hours.

The Russian delegation is led by Grigory Karasin and Sergey Beseda, while the U.S. delegation includes Andrew Peek, Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council, Michael Anton, Director of Policy Planning at the U.S. State Department, and assistants to Special Representative for Ukraine, Kate Kelley's office, as well as National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

The meeting between the Russian and U.S. representatives has concluded after more than 12 hours of consultations.

A source from the Russian delegation confirmed the news, but no details about the discussions were provided.
