On October 20, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, at the invitation of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shuhrat Khalmukhamedov, visited Samarkand to participate in the "High-Level Observer Day" of the "Unity-2025" exercise.

Axar.az reports that in Samarkand, Colonel General Z. Hasanov met with his Uzbek counterpart.

The parties discussed the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military education fields, and emphasized the importance of holding joint exercises for the purpose of exchanging mutual experience.

The meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Huseyn Guliyev, highly assessed the existing level of military cooperation between our countries, and also exchanged detailed views on expanding this cooperation.
