When it comes to economic development, we can be proud of the successes achieved this year.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in his address on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

Stressing that our foreign exchange reserves have reached a historic record, exceeding $80 billion, the head of state said that our foreign debt has decreased further, and today it accounts for only 6.3 percent of our gross domestic product. He noted that our foreign exchange reserves exceed our foreign debt 16 times.
