Famous psychic shares 2026 forecast for Azerbaijan

Renowned medium and psychic Galina Bagirova—one of the strongest participants of The Battle of Psychics (Season 8)—shared her views on Azerbaijan with "Minval Politika" in an exclusive interview.

Axar.az presents the interview:

— Let’s start with the sad news and end on a positive note. The Caspian Sea is rapidly shrinking, and so far, no solution has been found to replenish its waters or restore its area. Do you think this process is irreversible?

— It appears that water is being diverted from the Volga, and it no longer fully flows into the Caspian; the river has changed course. This is not a natural process but the result of human intervention.

Immediate action is needed. Another three years of inaction, and the Caspian will begin to shrink at a very rapid pace. Urgent measures are required to prevent this. If the sea recedes, earthquakes will become more frequent and stronger, since the sea used to absorb underground tremors. Additionally, a serious shortage of drinking water is likely to emerge.

— How do you see Azerbaijan’s economic prospects? Which sectors will grow most rapidly: logistics, transport, agriculture, tourism?

— I see a lot of solar panels. Factories producing renewable energy will likely be built, and innovations in this sector will emerge. A large-scale transition to solar-powered equipment, including household appliances, will take place. Electric vehicles will become common, and alternative energy sources will expand.

Agriculture will also grow: new breeds of sheep that are larger than usual will be developed, and farmers will expand production overall.

Robots will become widespread across many sectors, including military and medicine. The Azerbaijani army will be equipped with the latest technology. Robots will also assist in demining operations—highly sensitive sapper robots. Service industries will use robots extensively. In the future, competitions between robots will take place, with Chinese robots likely dominating.

— Speaking of Chinese robots, what about China’s future presence in the South Caucasus?

— China is quietly expanding its influence through technological and economic progress. The number of Chinese companies in the South Caucasus will increase. These companies will play a key role in developing Azerbaijan’s green energy sector as investors and contractors. Large energy storage systems will be built to stabilize the grid, alongside solar and wind power plants.

— And Azerbaijan’s relations with its neighbors?

— There will be peace with Armenia, including a formal peace treaty and mutual exchanges in all sectors. There will be no war with Iran, and a quiet Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran alliance may exist.

In Iran, the theocratic regime will weaken and become more moderate. Islam will remain, but the country will move in a more European direction. Theocratic pressure will ease.

The UAE will adopt a more tourist-friendly approach. The U.S., though not a neighbor, will strengthen its presence in the South Caucasus via the so-called “Trump Route.”

— There was talk of opening land borders with Georgia and starting train services, but the process stalled…

— The border will open, and an additional road connecting Georgia to Turkiye will be built. Azerbaijan’s connections with Georgia and Turkiye will expand. The opening of land borders may coincide with the launch of the “Trump Route,” along with new road construction.

— What role will Azerbaijan play in large-scale energy projects (Middle East, European markets)?

— Israel and Azerbaijan will develop close cooperation. Cooperation with wealthy Arab countries will also expand, with oil and gas transported through Azerbaijan as a transit route. Revenues from logistics and transport corridors will enter the state budget. Most technical equipment will come from China and Israel.
