Wheat shipment sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan

A freight train consisting of five wagons carrying Russian wheat to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory departed today from the Bilajari Railway Station of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC.

Axar.az reports that the total weight of the grain is 350 tons.

The train will later pass through the Boyuk Kesik Railway Station into Georgia and then continue toward Armenia.

So far, more than 24,000 tons of grain, over 1,600 tons of fertilizer, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia in transit via Azerbaijan.

It is noted that the most recent shipment of Russian wheat to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory took place on April 1, amounting to 349 tons.
