10 Azerbaijanis return home after Black Sea drone attack

Ten Azerbaijani citizens rescued from a vessel attacked by a drone off the coast of Odesa in the Black Sea left Ukraine for Azerbaijan today.

Axar.az informs, citing Rеport, that Azerbaijani citizens Gyulan Latifova, Tofig Nasrullayev, Sabuhi Samedov, Ismayil Ismayilov, Ayon Aliyev, Javid Rahimov, Mehman Rahimov, Ismayil Akhundov, Gurban Aliyev, and Valeh Abbasov departed for Azerbaijan via Moldova on July 15, accompanied by Farid Babayev, adviser at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv, and embassy employee Parviz Asadov.

The day before, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry reported that at around 3:15 p.m. local time on July 14, the Turkish-owned civilian cargo vessel Atlas Bey, operated by Okean Maritime, came under a drone attack off the coast of Odesa.

There were 11 Azerbaijani citizens among the crew. All crew members, except for the Azerbaijani captain, were brought safely ashore in Odesa.
