Axar.az informs citing TASS.

"I think it necessary to say that the entire responsibility for Khamzat Azimov’s turning to crime rests with the French authorities. Chechnya is only is birth place but he grew up in French society, where his personality, with his views and principles, was molded," Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He confirmed that the man had once been Russian citizen. "But his passport is invalid as he skipped issuance of a new one at an age of 20," he noted, adding that latest reports gave grounds to think that Azimov had had cintacts with French law enforcement and special services.

Apart from that, Kadyrov extended his condolences to the family of the man stabbed by Azimov.

The stabbing attack took place on Saturday evening in Paris’ second arrondissement where the city's opera and prestigious residential areas are located. The assailant attacked passersby with a knife at random, shouting out "Allahu akbar." The attacker was shot dead by police. He was identified as Khamzat Azimov, 21, a Chechnya-born French national. One man was stabbed to death, four more were wounded. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by Islamic State (a terrorist organization outlawed in Russia).
