The US State Department has announced that the United States will reduce the validity of the B2 tourist visa for up to three months for Cuban citizens and will be allowed to visit the United States only once.

Axar.az informs that, previously, the Cubans were given a five-year visa, and during that period they had repeatedly been allowed to come to the United States.

The B2 category visa, for tourists, includes visits to family, treatment and other purposes, AzerTac reports. Most Cuban entrepreneurs have access to their relatives using these visas as well as materials needed for their own businesses.

According to the Tramp administration, the Cuban government does not offer similar opportunities to US citizens. According to US immigration legislation, US visas and periods of validity of these visas should be as practicable as possible in the mutual format. US State Department's press release says that US citizens coming to Cuba are allowed to extend their stay for up to 30 days, once a month, up to two months, and pay an extra $ 50.

The State Department statement says that there are no changes to other categories of visas issued by Cuban citizens. This includes business trips and trips to the United States, as well as visits to academic programs.

President Donald Tramp said in June 2017 that he intends to restrict relations with Cuba in the field of tourism and trade.
