Baku has hosted the first workshop on tourism in Italy.

The workshop was organized by the Italian company Amanda Tour. The event brought together more than 50 participants from Italy and managers of more than 90 Azerbaijani tourist companies. Most of the guests represented various Italian luxury hotels and hotel chains with a truly unique and long history as well as high fashion brand hotels like Bulgari, Armani, Ferragamo and others.

CEO of the Rome office of Amanda Tour Claudio Kadeddu in an interview to local media said: "The Azerbaijani market is of great interest to us: that's been going on for four years, we are working closely with them. It is necessary to take into account features of a particular country to make a travel activity fruitful. The Azerbaijani tourists have their preferences - they like the spacious hotel rooms, breakfast on a "buffet", attentive service.”

“In addition, knowing quite well the classical Italian cities like Rome, Venice, Florence, Azerbaijani tourists though are not familiar enough with the sea and the thermal spa of Italy. We have organized the current event to fill this gap and to promote the convergence of tourist markets of the two countries. The main purpose of this event is to establish direct contact between the leaders of tourism industry of Azerbaijan and Italy," Kadeddu added.
