Erdogan: Efforts with Trump to continue for regional peace

Turkiye will continue cooperation with U.S. President Donald Trump to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the remarks following a Cabinet meeting.

He also highlighted the importance of the recent NATO summit held in Ankara. According to Erdogan, Turkiye, with its military capabilities, diplomatic experience, and defense industry potential, is one of the strongest partners of the Alliance at the center of this transformation.

"We held meetings with many leaders of different countries. We discussed the latest situation in Syria with (Syrian President Ahmed — ed.) al-Sharaa. Trump's visit to Turkiye was significant. We will continue working with him to preserve peace and stability in our region," Erdogan said.
