A memorial service called "Your grief is our grief, Turkiye" was held at the central office of the Public Union for the Development of Relations Among Turkish Elders (TAİB).

Axar.az reports that first, the souls of those who died were remembered with a minute of silence.

In their speeches, the participants of the event said that the tragedy that happened in Turkiye is the mourning of the whole Turkic world:

"The tragedy that happened to our brothers, one blood and one soul, has made our hearts bleed, and every Azerbaijani is trying to help as much as he can. The President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has given instructions to relevant institutions regarding assistance to Turkiye. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergencies have urgently left for Turkiye, and currently, a team of 725 people is participating in rescue operations.
