Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this in his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Shirvan irrigation canal to be rebuilt in Hajigabul district on April 16.

Emphasizing that these areas are one of the most beautiful places in Azerbaijan, the head of state noted: "The availability of lands suitable for agriculture, water resources - rivers, springs, grasslands creates great opportunities for both animal husbandry and plant breeding. We do everything in a planned way to get maximum productivity, and maximum efficiency from every inch of land, and we will do it."
