A group of Georgian Azerbaijanis, who met Shusha the other day, visited Khankendi and Aghdam today.

Axar.az reports that the guests toured the city of Khankendi in the first half of the day. They were informed about the city, as well as about the construction works carried out here.

The guests also came to Karabakh University, got acquainted with the created conditions and met with students.

In the second half of the day, the guests who came to Agdam visited Juma Mosque. It was reported that the mosque built in 1868-1870 was subjected to Armenian vandalism like other historical and religious monuments during the 30-year Armenian occupation, and the enemy kept cattle in this mosque. After the liberation of Aghdam, the mosque was restored by the state of Azerbaijan.

Georgian Azerbaijanis also looked at the remains of buildings destroyed by Armenians in the central street of Agdam city. It was reported that before the occupation, Agdam was one of the largest and most developed cities not only of the Karabakh region, but also of the republic. However, during the occupation, Agdam was razed to the ground and became a ruin. After liberation from the occupation, extensive construction works were started in Agdam. Currently, in addition to the city center, construction works are being carried out in several villages, and the return of the population to Agdam will be ensured in the near future.

It should be noted that the visit of Georgian Azerbaijanis to the territories freed from occupation will be carried out in three groups for six days.
