The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the population regarding the expected weather conditions.

Axar.az reports that the appeal states:

"According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, starting from April 9, the weather conditions in the country will change and become unstable and intermittently rainy in the coming days, with rainfall intensifying in some places and hail falling, short-term floods from some mountain rivers, lightning, and strong winds.

Taking into account the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to the population and calls on them to comply with relevant safety regulations.

Thus, in order to protect themselves from floods that may be caused by intense rainfall, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and to immediately climb to a nearby height when faced with this danger.

Also, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light-structured and temporary structures, buildings, and billboards, and not to stand under electric poles and wires, or tall trees. Also, considering the difficulties caused by strong winds in extinguishing fires, fire safety regulations should be observed especially strictly in windy weather conditions.

At the same time, to protect yourself from lightning-related dangers, you should unplug electrical appliances from the network, avoid talking on the phone (landline, mobile, payphone, etc.), avoid approaching power lines, lightning conductors, lightning rods, and antennas when outdoors, avoid taking shelter under tall trees and choose a relatively low-lying place for this purpose, and if you are in a car, stop driving, roll up the windows, and wait for the lightning to end.
