Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, attended Pope Leo XIV's enthronement ceremony on May 18.

Axar.az informs that the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis reported this.

At a meeting held within the framework of the ceremony, which was attended by heads of state and government, parliament speakers, clergy and prominent public figures from around the world, S. Gafarova conveyed the congratulations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Pope Leo XIV on his election as Pope of Rome, and wished him success in his activities.
