Nearly 700 foreigners were expelled from Azerbaijan

In the first four months of this year, a total of 735,969 entries into Azerbaijan were recorded by citizens from 179 countries, including the Russian Federation.

Axar.az reports, citing the State Migration Service, at the same time, during the first four months of this year, the State Migration Service issued a total of 6,228 administrative rulings against citizens from 109 countries, including Russia, for violations of migration laws. Of these, 668 foreigners were administratively expelled from Azerbaijan and had their entry to the country restricted for a legally defined period,” the statement said.

Please note that according to Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers’ decision No. 561 dated December 29, 2024, starting January 1, 2025, citizens of the Russian Federation and stateless persons permanently residing in Russia who enter Azerbaijan visa-free may stay temporarily for no more than 90 days within a calendar year.
