May 28 – The Azerbaijani flag was raised in front of the parliament building in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, on the occasion of Independence Day. The ceremony was jointly organized by the "Vatan" Azerbaijani Art and Culture Center and the Azerbaijani House of Canada.
