Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi of the Prema Racing team won the GP2 First Race held in Baku on June 18.

Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin of the ART Grand Prix team came in second (+1.2 seconds), followed by Raffaele Marcello from the Russian Time team (+1.3 seconds).

Azerbaijan is hosting the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe and the 2016 GP2 Series.

GP2 first race was held today, June 18.

Prior to that, Formula 1 first practice session and second practice session, GP2 practice session and GP2 qualifying were held on the first day, June 17.

Formula 1 third practice session and Formula 1 qualifying session will be held on the second day on June 18, while the GP2 second race and 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe will be held on the last day of the races, June 19.
