Alonso broke Michael Schumacher's record

Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso, who currently plays for Alpine, has set a new record at the Azerbaijani Grand Prix.

Axar.az informs that Alonso won the title of the driver with the longest career, performing on the Baku stage.

The Spanish driver made his Formula 1 debut in March 2001. The former driver of Renault, McLaren and Ferrari has completed 21 years, 3 months and 8 days at the Azerbaijani Grand Prix. The previous record belonged to seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, who has already finished his career.

It should be noted that Fernando Alonso is a two-time (2005, 2006) world champion.
