Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravci was launched into space on January 19 at 00:49 Turkish time (01:49 Baku time).

Axar.az informs that Turkish media reported on this.

According to information, the "Dragon" capsule containing Gezeravci was sent to the International Space Station by the "Falcon 9" carrier rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

In addition to the Turkish astronaut, the "Ax-3" crew includes Spanish astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria, Italian Air Force pilot Walter Villadei and Swedish astronaut Markus Wandt on behalf of the European Space Agency.

The Turkish astronaut will stay in the International Space Station for 14 days and conduct 13 different scientific experiments.
