Russia's New Year's video draws backlash after AZAL crash

The New Year's greeting video released by Russia has caused discussions.

Axar.az reports that this was shared by Russian pro-government Telegram channels.

So, in the video, it appears that Santa Claus, who came to Russia, was destroyed by the HHM system. Santa Claus welcomes this and says, "What is someone else doing in our sky?"

This video was met with dissatisfaction on social networks. Especially after the AZAL plane was shot down in the sky of Grozny and because of this, it crashed in Aktau, people treated it abnormally.

It should be noted that on December 25, the AZAL plane carrying out the Baku-Grozny flight was shot down by the Russian HHM systems in the sky of Grozny and was seriously damaged. The plane headed for Aktau crashed near the Aktau airport because it was not allowed to land. As a result of the accident, 38 of the 67 people on board died, and 29 survived.
