Erdogan, Macron discuss Ukraine, Gaza, bilateral ties

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Axar.az reports, citing the Communication Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration on X, that the leaders discussed bilateral relations, the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, the recent situation in Gaza, and various other regional and global issues.

Erdogan stated that Turkiye continues its efforts to ensure a just resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war and is closely monitoring contacts in Alaska and Washington.

The Turkish leader also emphasized that his country is ready to host any efforts for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

During the conversation, Erdogan highlighted Turkiye’s efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, where a major humanitarian disaster is ongoing.
