Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons.
Axar.az reports that this was stated in a declaration by the G7 Directors of Non-Proliferation.
The group emphasized its commitment to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, urging the resumption of negotiations to reach a comprehensive, verifiable, and durable agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program.
“As a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the Iranian government must fully comply with its obligations as a non-nuclear-weapon state,” the declaration said.
The G7 also called on Tehran to refrain from provocative actions, to immediately and fully restore cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and to provide verifiable information on all nuclear materials inside Iran.
