Moscow is preparing a new balance of power in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian political scientist and international observer Movses Ghazaryan.

The expert believes that Moscow has no intention of leaving the region. Despite everything, the Russian factor still plays a decisive role in the South Caucasus. Meanwhile, against the background of the changing balance of power in the South Caucasus, there is a serious need to reformat relations with regional players. In particular, we are talking about Armenia, which is clearly drifting towards the countries of the Western bloc.

The political scientist said that if any of the post-Soviet countries considers it necessary to distance itself from Russia and this does not pose a direct threat to Moscow's interests, then the Kremlin will not create a problem.

According to him, security risks on Russia's borders will lead to serious consequences. However, official Moscow is currently focusing on diplomatic interaction. What will happen in the future will depend on the steps of regional players.
