About two months ago, Armenian consul Ashkhen Aleksanyan was detained in Austria while returning to Armenia on suspicion of spying for Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs, citing Hraparak, documents found in her possession led to suspicions that she was spying for Azerbaijan.

Following the detention, Armenia’s National Security Service conducted a full-day search of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, examining computers and documents.

To conceal this incident, nearly all information about Ashkhen Aleksanyan, including the official announcement of her appointment, was removed from the internet and other open sources.
