There is a great demand for Russians to visit China, and the visa-free regime opens a new stage in contacts.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

“A new stage in bilateral contacts with China begins, which is connected with the initiative of the Chinese side to introduce a visa-free regime for a period of 30 days for certain categories of Russian citizens. This primarily concerns tourists, people visiting acquaintances, and friends. At the same time, this does not apply to the field of journalism and other categories, for whom visas are reserved. But this really allows you to visit China for tourist purposes. I can confirm that in recent years there has been a great demand for visits to China,” she noted.
