Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Su Hui, Deputy Chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Axar.az reports that the Cabinet of Ministers released a statement on this.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that as a result of the joint efforts of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping, relations between the two countries have been developing consistently on the principles of friendship, mutual respect, and strategic partnership.

It was noted that Azerbaijan-China relations have entered a new stage with the signing of the Joint Statement on the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations in April this year.

The importance of President Ilham Aliyev's working visit to China in late August - early September in terms of further deepening relations between the two countries and expanding multilateral cooperation was noted.

The meeting discussed the prospects for the development of Azerbaijan-China relations in various areas of mutual interest.
