Islamic and Arab countries will support all steps taken by Qatar in response to the Israeli strike on the Hamas leadership's headquarters in Doha.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement adopted following the summit of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

"We reaffirm our full solidarity with the State of Qatar in the face of this aggression, which has become an attack on all Arab and Islamic countries. We express our support for all steps and measures taken by Qatar to respond to Israel's treacherous attack, protect its sovereignty and ensure its security," the text said.

Arab and Islamic countries have agreed to oppose Israel's plans to impose a new status quo in the region.
