Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a story about the surprise of children at the geographical location of Mount Aghrı.
Axar.az reports that the politician's words were quoted by the "Ateo Breaking "Telegram channel.
Pashinyan said that he approached a group of children near a bonfire and asked them the name of the highest mountain in Armenia.
"70% of the children answered Ararat (its real name: Mount Aghrı). They don't even know that Ararat is not in Armenia. Even many Armenians who communicate with us don't know this, because that's how we speak," he explained.
Pashinyan emphasized that ignorance about the location of Ararat in Turkey is widespread even among adults.
"Then they find out, they are surprised - how is Ararat not on the territory of the Republic of Armenia? What do they think about us?", the prime minister noted.
On September 17, former Armenian ambassador at large Edmon Marukyan announced the possibility of removing Mount Ağrı from the national emblem of Armenia by decision of the current government.
