North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has stressed that his country will never give up nuclear weapons, while mentioning a possibility of dialogue if the United States stops demanding the denuclearization of his country.
Axar.az informs, citing NHK, state-run Korean Central Television reported on Monday that Kim delivered an important speech at a two-day meeting of the Supreme People's Assembly, which wrapped up on Sunday in the capital Pyongyang.
He reportedly said the world already knows what the US will do after it makes a country give up its nuclear weapons and disarm.
The North Korean leader also said his country has acquired new secret weapons, but he did not elaborate.
Kim added that if the US drops its obsession with denuclearizing North Korea and wants genuine peaceful coexistence, there is no reason for the North to not sit down with it.
Recalling a summit with US President Donald Trump during Trump's first term, Kim said he still has fond memories of him.
As for South Korea, Kim stated he will not deal with it at all.
He said his regime will clearly establish in national law that North and South Korea are two different countries with a border between them, and that they can never become one.
