On September 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov in New York.

Axar.az reports that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said that political relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are at an excellent level.

President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, noted that our relations are traditionally friendly and partnership-based.

During the conversation, satisfaction was expressed with our current successful cooperation in the energy sector, and it was noted that there are new prospects for the development of relations in this area.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in various fields.
