On September 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in high-level discussions held within the framework of the 80th session of the General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

Axar.az reports that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres greeted our head of state, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

It should be noted that more than 150 heads of state and government are participating in the 80th session of the General Assembly held at the UN headquarters in New York. The session, dedicated to the theme "Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights", is discussing issues on the global agenda, including ongoing conflicts in some parts of the world, the Sustainable Development Goals, the climate crisis, and other topics. The session will last until September 30.
