Turkiye has removed a series of additional import tariffs on U.S. goods that had been in place since 2018.

Axar.az informs the announcement was published in the country’s Official Gazette.

The decision affects 33 products, including alcoholic beverages, passenger cars, tobacco, and cosmetics, which will no longer face extra duties.

The Turkish Ministry of Trade said the move came after successful negotiations:

“We will continue working to achieve the $100 billion trade volume, one of the main goals in economic relations between Turkiye and the U.S.”
