Armenian PM Pashinyan meets UN Chief Guterres

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.

Axar.az reports that the parties noted the initialing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8 of this year and expressed confidence that it will contribute to stability and the development of cooperation in the South Caucasus.

Pashinyan and Guterres discussed the organization of the 17th UN Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Armenia from October 18 to 30, 2026, and cooperation in this area. The meeting also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
