The world's highest bridge, located in southwest China's Guizhou province, opened to traffic on Sunday morning.

Axar.az reports that after three years of construction, the new bridge has reduced travel time across the gorge from two hours to just two minutes.

The bridge, which rises 625 meters above the Beipan River in the mountainous region of Guizhou, is 1,420 meters long and is the world's longest-span steel suspension bridge built in a mountainous region.
