Pope Leo XIV, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, has appointed a new secretary.
Axar.az reports that Marco Billeri, a priest of the Italian diocese, has been appointed as Pope Leo's second personal secretary.
Ordained a priest in 2016, Marco, 41, continued his education in Rome and received a doctorate in canon law. He served in various positions at the Tuscan ecclesiastical tribunal, the diocesan tribunals of San Miniato Basso and Volterra. He worked at the churches of St. Stephen and St. Martin in San Miniato Basso.
Italian Marco Billeri will work together with Pope Leo's first secretary, Peruvian Edgard Ivan Rimaycuna Inga.
